More than a Game is an American Sports documentary film that tells about the Akron favorite five out of including the NBA superstar LeBron James.This film focuses in on 5 young basketball players - LeBron James, Dru Joyce III, Romeo Travis, Sian Cotton, Willie McGee - and their coach, Dru Joyce II, performing on an AAU team with the growing stardom of the future NBA superstar, LeBron James. Taking them through their pre-teens to high school, the film follows their incredible journey as the unknown Ohio team rises to the top of youth athletics. The moral really suggests that to win, a team has to fight until the end to achieve a goal, even if the challenge seems easy.(wikipedia)

Being a basketball fanatics, this film is superb! I'm lucky that even it has a limited theatrical release I still find it available on a DVD rental store.

I found out a lot of things about LeBron, his team mates their environment that they live in while they are still playing together.The good things is, this young guys develop friendship thru  basketball and overcome all the hardship and controversy's that went on their way.

I see that there is no lies or invented event on this documentary. All details are pure evidence about the existence of the people involve on the story. Their friendship, problems, differences and the love of playing basketball that bind them together are all portray here with pure heart, pure sweat and pure spirit!!!

So here i go with my rating for this film:

STORY & PLOT: 9 out of 10

MORE THAN A GAME for me its a VERY GOOD DOCUMENTARY FILM 

INCEPTION

Inception, 2010 the latest movie of one of the most popular movie star in Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio. This movie was produced and directed by Christopher Nolan who also directed such very nice film like The Dark Knight and Memento.This movie is a science fiction film about exploring somebody's mind while dreaming to steal a valuable business information.

I can say that this is also one of the most anticipated films of the year. With a power full cast like Ken Watanabe (Letters form Iwo Jima and The last samurai) Michale Cain and Joseph Gordon Levitt ( The look out and 500 days of summer). And with this talented actors they really delivered a two thumps up performance. The acting was exceptionally good that you will find yourself focused on every action and detail of what they are doing. They performed very lively, and sometimes I felt very curious of every behavior of the characters in the movie.

The story was artistically conveyed. From start to finished you  really find yourself attached to your set waiting for every seconds on what will happen next. Its like a puzzle that every part of the film makes you think and guess whats happening next.

The sci-fi effects were also very crafty. I really like the setting of the story, Its very mystifying and amazing and they really bring out the reality of the dream in the big screen.

So here i go with my rating for this film:

INCEPTION for me its a VERY GOOD FILM

SKYLINE

SKYLINE is a 2010 science fiction thriller about alien invasion.This movie was directed and produced by Brothers Strause (Brothers Greg and Colin Strause) who are also known  for their special effects.

MY first glance on the movie, i felt like i'm curios about it. But suddenly with too much light coming from somewhere i felt like I will be alienated by the film.

As the story goes along, i thought that the plot is not jiving with the real essence of the movie.With the main characters all trap in an expensive condo unit try to escape the hunting aliens, its like the director can do more better than this kind of setting.At the same time im not satisfied with the ending. It makes you hanging and waiting without a guarantee of its next sequel.


I also noticed that the actors and actresses on the film are not really good in delivering their role. I thought this are good actors despite they are not that popular but while watching it i feel pity about the film.

On the other hand, the sci-fi effects are good. But effects alone could not carry the whole movie in to a blockbuster hit. I admire the effects on how the people vacuumed into the horizon by the big alien spaceship, that part was thrilling.Another spark on this movie are those alien creatures roaming around LA on how they hunt and kill the humans, that part was a bit scary too.

To sum it up let me give my grade for this film;

Story and Plot: 3 out of 10
Effects and Setting: 8 out of 10
Characters : 3 out of 10
TOTAL: 4.6 out of 10

So i decided to rate this film as a Satisfactory Film
